On November 24th, IBS Americas had the pleasure of hosting the World Class Manager Award, a traditional recognition event for prominent figures in the business world. The event honored leaders, companies, and academics who have been inspirational in their contributions to the development of Brazilian international business.
On a night filled with acknowledgment, the winners of the three categories of the WCMA 2023 trophy were:
In the Academic Category, Dr. Janina Onuki, a professor and researcher at the University of São Paulo.
In the Executive Category, Harry Schmelzer Jr., CEO of WEG, who was represented by Renato dos Santos, an executive from the company.
In the Institutional Category, the NGO re.green, dedicated to the ecological recovery of degraded areas. The award was received by the executive Ricardo Blandy.
The event also featured the Academic Award, recognizing outstanding students from the short-term courses of 2023. Congratulations to these talented students for their remarkable academic achievements.
The winning group of the AI Projects Competition, launched during the Global Management Week, was also announced at the event. Group 3 took the first place with the project "Steps for All." Congratulations on their innovative approach and sensitivity to the needs of people with reduced mobility!
In addition to the awards, the event featured a moving presentation from the NGO Arte na Lata. For over 10 years, this organization has been turning waste into musical instruments, providing opportunities and inspiring communities through music.
